| Multi-engine Airplane Flight Instructor Rating Program |
The Multi-engine Airplane Flight Instructor Rating must meet the requirements of FAR Part 61 including holding a valid Flight Instructor Certificate - Airplane, hold a Multi-engine class rating on his/her Commercial Pilot Certificate and have at least 16 hours as Pilot in Command of a multi-engine aircraft upon completion of this training program. This course of training is conducted under FAR Part 61 (also available under FAR Part 141) and consists of 10 hours of flight instruction and 5 hours of ground instruction ( the 10 hours of dual flight instruction may be included in reaching the required total of 15 hours Pilot in Command in a multi-engine aircraft). Completion of this course allows an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot to provide flight instruction for the Multi-engine Rating. |
