Commercial Pilot Course
The Commercial Pilot's License may be regarded as the first step in turning a hobby into a potential career. A Commercial Pilot's License entitles the holder to fly for "compensation or hire". He or she may, for example, fly for a licensed charter operator.

NAIA's program is conducted under FAR Part 141 Appendix D and is approximately 9 weeks in duration with a minimum of 122 hours of flight training which includes 55 hours dual flight instruction, 65 hours of directed solo practice and 2 hours for the FAA Commercial Pilot Practical Examination. Also included is a minimum of 54.0 hours ground school and 22.0 hours one-on-one ground instruction. Completion of the Commercial Pilot Course (including the Practical Examination) allows a pilot to act as Pilot in Command of an aircraft for compensation or hire subject to FAR Parts 61.91.
