Things to Do in Conway
Conway is
just a short drive from the East Coast's most popular
beach resort - Myrtle Beach. Along with the fabulous
beaches are plenty of entertainment for every taste.
The
House of Blues is one of the most popular concert venues
in the area. Great bands like Third Eye Blind and classic bands like 38 Special and Little River Band
are always scheduled.
Other
shows like Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre are performed
here as well. And we can't forget to mention the
fabulous blues bands and great food!
The House of Blues is located in North Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing.
Barefoot Landing has over 100 specialty stores as well
as dining and more entertainment such as the Alabama Theatre where you can see great shows and bands like George
Jones, the Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus and other country greats. Also located at Barefoot
Landing are great restaurants such as the Mad Boar
Restaurant and Brewery and Greg Norman's Australian
Grill.
Further down the road in Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the
Beach is Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe. Broadway at the Beach has numerous clubs and shopping.
Conway is also the home of many festivals such as
the Rivertown Blues and Jazz
Festival , the Long Bay Symphony at the " Annual Rhythm on
the River Concert, " the Two Days around the Fourth
Festival and the Strom Thurmond Family Days Festivals, to name a few. In the spring, the river
comes alive with " Spring Swing on the Waccamaw"
in April and again with music from our heritage at
the " Annual Bluegrass Festival " in May.

While
attending NAIA, students can work on other
educational opportunities. Near to the NAIA Campus
is Coastal Carolina University offering 36 programs leading
to the baccalaureate degree and 27 undergraduate
degree minors. The university also offers 10
international exchange opportunities in countries
such as Japan, Germany and Spain. Coastal has 219
full-time faculty members with 81 percent having
doctoral or terminal degrees. Coastal has a great
student to faculty ration of 19:1.

For more than 37
years, Horry-Georgetown Technical College has been offering more
than 70 associate degree, diploma and certificate
programs, as well as a diverse and rapidly expanding
list of corporate and business training options
through Continuing Education. HGTC also feature a
thriving University Parallel program for those
seeking to transfer to other institutions to
complete a Baccalaureate degree.
